The unique taper allows a rod to load at close range and a positive front taper delivers perfect presentation of flies between sizes #22 and #2.
The long back taper is excellent for mending and for roll and spey casting. The Rio Gold incorporates Rio’s DualTone, with a different color running line and head to easily determine the loading point of the line. The line is made with RIO’s XS, Agent X and Super Floation Technologies and a welded loop on both ends facilitates fast rigging.
