Fishing Report 9-21-18

We’ve got good cloud cover to start the day today with a little rain later, maybe around 11pm or so, dropping about .2” which shouldn’t blow anything out. The rivers are in pretty good shape and clearing since the rain on Monday. The West Branch is starting to look good with 888 cfs up at Stilesville and 61 degrees and down at Hale Eddy we had 1360 cfs and 61 degrees. The East Branch is running 877 up at Harvard and 49 degrees and down below the Beaverkill at Fishs’ Eddy we have 2030 cfs and 56 degrees. Lordville on the mainstem is flowing 3690 and 60 degrees. All of the rivers have cleared up over the last few days and yesterday was decent for some and slow for others with some Blue Winged Olives and a few Isonychia in the afternoon and depending on where you were, some fish were on top feeding for a while. The streamer fishing seemed to be hit or miss too with some doing well and others not, despite the perfect water for throwing streamers. It looks like we will get a bit of rain overnight but other than that it looks to be clear and cool for the next few days. Lotsa’ Luck
