9-9-18 Fishing Report

Another cloudy morning today with cool temps, currently 50 degrees with a high today in the low 60's.  We haven't got any rain yet, it's all currently just South of us, but it looks like it will start later tonight around 11pm which will last most of the day tomorrow.  Flows have been consistent with no change coming out of Cannonsville and Stilesville is currently running 1100 cfs and 52 degrees.  Hale Eddy is running 1260 cfs and 53 degrees and is running with a bit of stain coming from the reservoir.  The upper East Branch at Harvard is running 581 cfs and 44 degrees and down at Fishs' Eddy we have 963 cfs and 51 degrees.  Lordville is running 2210 cfs and 55 degrees and is very clear, as the sediment from the West Branch does drop as you move downriver.  We had some decent surface activity yesterday from early afternoon on, decent Blue Winged Olives sporadically coming off until the evening.  A few Isonychia are always good to have as well as some small Winged Ants in the #18-20 range which have been around the last few weeks and are always good flies to have heading into the fall.  The streamer fishing can be good and the conditions are great for the and as with everything some days are better than others.  Lotsa' Luck
