9-8-18 Fishing Report

Today is another cloudy day with cooler temps in the mid-50's and a high of 70.  Conditions haven't changed much lately with 1100 still at Stilesville on the upper West Branch with a temp of 52 degrees.  Down at Hale Eddy we have 1230 cfs and 53 degrees with a decent stain to the water coming out of the reservoir and will likely last a while.  The East Branch at Harvard is running 591 cfs adn 45 degrees and is a great option for the wade fisherman.  Downriver at Fishs' Eddy we have 1030 cfs and 55 degrees.  The mainstem at Lordville is now running 2320 cfs and 59 degrees.  We should have a good day on the water with the cloud cover and no rain until tomorrow night and into Monday.  It does look like we are going to get an inch or two of rain starting late tonight and continuing through most of Monday.  Today should be a good Blue Winged Olive day wherever you choose to fish and water temps should be good throughout the system with these low air temps.  We are seeing some decent Isonychia activity and are they are great flies to cover water as you move downriver in a boat.  Streamers are still working and will work much better on days like this with good cloud cover.  Lotsa' Luck
