9-15-18 Fishing Report

This morning is starting out with some nice sunshine and temps in the low 70’s with a high of 79 later today. The release out of Cannonsville is running 1450 cfs and 57 degrees and down at Hale Eddy we have 1980 cfs and 59 degrees. The East Branch at Harvard is now 939 and 50 degrees and down at Fishs’ Eddy we have 2150 cfs and 59 degrees. The mainstem is flowing 4550 cfs and 61 degrees. The West Branch still has some stain to it which isn’t going to go away in the immediate future and is typical this time of year. The water does clear as you go down the West and is quite a bit clearer down in Hancock and the East Branch and main Delaware are clearer too. Streamer fishing should be solid on the West Branch today with the higher, stained water and we will see some bugs later this afternoon. The main and East should have some bugs as well. The main had some pretty good Blue Winged Olives yesterday with fish feeding on them in the afternoon. A few Isonychia as well and are always good blind casting flies if not much is happening on top.
