9-11-18 Fishing Report

No rain this morning or in the forecast today after it rained all day yesterday. With the size of the storm we really did luck out as all of the local river puffed up but are in good shape considering it rained for over 24 hours. The upper West Branch at Stilesville is running 1110 cfs and 55 degrees and down by the resort at Hale Eddy we have 2120 cfs and 56 earlier this morning, down about 1500 since it crested last night. The West does have some stain this morning but is definitely fishable and the streamer fishing was good yesterday and will likely be good today. Definitely better than before the rains started late Sunday night. The upper East Branch at Harvard is 841 cfs and 51 degrees and down at Fishs’ Eddy we have 3020 cfs and 55 degrees. The mainstem at Lordville is 7860 cfs and 56 degrees. The lower East around Hancock looked pretty good last night, less turbid than the West Branch, right before dark but it has come up a bit since then. It looks like some clouds this morning and then clearing as the day goes on with no rain in the immediate forecast. We should have some good fishing from here on out as the waters clear by the hour. The turbidity isn’t too bad currently and I would even expect some decent surface activity this afternoon. Lotsa’ Luck
