8-26-18 Fishing Report

Today is looking great with some good cloud cover this cool morning with temps reaching the mid 70's later today.  It looks like Cannonsville reservoir on the West seems to have quit spilling last night and the upper West at Stilesville is now 1470 cfs and 48 degrees and down at Hale Eddy we have 1800 cfs and 51 degrees.  The upper East Branch at Harvard is down to 840 cfs and 58 degrees while down at Fishs' Eddy we have 1660 cfs and 58 degrees. Lordville on the main is running 3600 cfs and 58 degrees.  This weekend fished very well for most and yesterday offered some great surface activity as the rivers slowly drop and air and water temps couldn't be more perfect. We saw some good hatches yesterday with Blue Winged Olives from early afternoon throughout the West.  We are seeing some #10-12 Isonychia as well and they're great flies in the heavier water and the fish are eating them.  Some #14-16 Summer Cahills have been around too, mixed in with the other bugs.  This looks like a great week coming up with no rain in the forecast.  Lotsa' Luck
