8-25-18 Fishing Report

The nice weather has held on all week with cool nights in the 50's and highs int he 70's.  As the rivers drop slowly the fishing on top is getting a bit better and the streamer fishing has remained solid.  The West is still spilling a bit but getting closer to not spilling as we've been dry all week.  The West Branch at Stilesville is now 1570 cfs and 54 degrees while downriver at Hale Eddy we have 1930 cfs and 54 degrees.  The East Branch at Harvard is running 855 cfs adn 55 degrees, getting close to some decent wading.  Fishs' Eddy on the lower East is now 1790 cfs and 61 degrees.  The mainstem at Lordville is running 4220 cfs and 60 degrees.  These are great temps for August and the levels are great for a boat and we should have some good water for the immediate future as they will be releasing for a while.  We're seeing more fish on top daily with small Olives in the 18-22 range, #10-12 Isonychia, #14-16 Cahills and a few #18-20 Sulphurs which are mainly on the upper West.  Deceivers, Clousers and buggers have been working well below the surface along with many other creative ties.  It looks like this week's weather is nice with no rain and cool nights with some warmer weather mid-week.  Lotsa' Luck
